Youngest to win, Vettel, blinded every body with his car’s water jet. Surprising there were not many wild spins and not much Aqua planning. Massa gets 1 point in excess of what Hamilton got.

For STR too it is the first. The minardi team celebrated the unexpected win. All their team members were jumping around in joy.

Kovalainen and Kubica made it to the podium. Alonso holding to fourth and Nick Hiedfeld whose career hanging in thin thread managed a fifth.

Then it is Maasa. Massa could have finshed in better place but for the pit stop which left him behind scores of cars. Kovalinen who pitted almost with him escaped the traffic as he left the pits 15 seconds earlier than Massa. A pity. Massa lost around 4 points and a potential podium due to the strategic mistake which is becoming norm nowadays in Ferrari pits.

Hamilton came from 15th to 7th but could have finished better but for the extra pit stop he did to change to intermediates. Otherwise the podium in his grabs.

So important players are leaving Monza with some confidence. Exception is Kimi. Massa should be feeling better due to the fact that he finished ahead of Hamilton. Hamilton will be satisfied with the number of place he gained and finishing next to Massa.

So the next stop is Singapore. Massa has great record in winning in virgin circuits. Hope he capitalizes on that and goes one up on Hamilton.

Hats off to Vettel who kept his composure and win from pole postition.
